40th Anniversary: Get Involved

40th Anniversary Celebration

Central California Asian Pacific Women was founded 40 years ago, on the 60th anniversary of women’s suffrage.  We know from many accounts how the momentum of the national women’s movement of the 1970s led to the organizing of API women in the early 80s in communities across the country, including the Central Valley.  Our founding board members had the bold vision to bring together API women from the Valley to bond, connect, and support one another.  Thanks to their leadership, and generations of dedicated stewardship, CCAPW remains a strong voice for gender equity and social justice and continues to advocate for and empower API women in Central California!

In celebration of the 40th anniversary of CCAPW, we are giving awards to these five API women leaders from the Central Valley who are incredible role models in their respective professions!  Even though we cannot gather in person this year, we want to recognize their unwavering commitment to bettering future generations of API women from the Valley and beyond!
